Determine the Co-ordinates of the point

This question was on my last test and i got completely stumped. Can someone please show me how to do it?

Determine the Co-ordinates of the point on the graph of y=x^2-8x+14 where the slope of the tangent is -2. Find the equation of the tangent and show that this tangent touches the curve y=-x^2-4x+4. what are to co-ordinates of this point of contact?

This is exactly the same as the last question you just asked

    1. Find the derivative of the equation (tangent gradient) ie 2x + 8

    2. using this it is possible to find location ie x= 3. Plug this back into original equation to find y

    3. Use x,y,m to create y=mx+c equation for tangent

    4. To find intercept points of two lines, simply sub one into the other
