    problem

    Farmers have two options to harvest the corn grown in the field by others. Company A, he charges $ 6 per hectare plus a fixed charge of $ 20. And the company B, charged $ 3 per hectare plus a fixed charge of $ 35.

    a) Find the linear function expressing the cost in terms of hectares planted to each of the options.
    b) Plot the functions in one system of Cartesian axes.
    c) Determine analytically the point of intersection between the two functions.
    d) Interpret the meaning of the point of intersection of the graphs, and how would you use this information to select the right choice if your goal was to get the lower cost of harvest?

    i hope can find help here

    Let us say company a charges y $ for harvesting x hectares than we have relation

    y = 6x +20
    --------------------
    For Company B..considering that they charge Y$ for x hectares than we have relation

    y= 3X + 35

    _______________

    Draw these graphs...

    The point of intersetion is the point where for a particular x

    y charged by Company A =y charged by company B

    _-----_----_

    You should always post your try with every question... than we have a better idea of where you got struck.
