Khan channel

hi, someone on here suggested i watch the khan chanel, or whatever its called on youtube, anyway its fantastic i think, so thankyou very much. anyway i watched the videos on derivatives and he refferes to part of the problems as F' (or this is what it looks like, and he refferes to it as 'eff prime' is this another way of expressing dy/dx?

Often the upper-case F is reserved for the anti-derivative of f, however.
