Absolute Minimum and Maximum
I'm not sure where to begin on this problem.

Find the absolute minimum and absolute maximum of
$f(x,y) = 7-5x+9y$ on the closed triangular region with vertices $(0,0), (9,0), (9,14)$. List the max/min values as well as the points at which they occur.

Min value:
Occurs at ( , )

Max value:
Occurs at ( , )

The first thing I would do is solve for y and then graph the problem and draw the triangle. When you do that you can see where the line intersects the triangle and will be able to find the max and min

Since the partial derivatives are non-zero contstants, maximum and minimum values can only be where the line crosses the triangle.
