    Find Critical Values

    I need to make a derivative chart for the first derivative of...

    y = (x+1) / (X^2 + 2x + 2)

    I differentiated it and got y'= (-x^2) - (2x) / (x^2 + 2x + 2)^2

    Can someone show me how to simplify this and get the critical values? Thanks!

    y' = \frac{-x(x+2)}{(x^2+2x+2)^2} = 0

    -x(x+2) = 0

    critical values at x = 0 and x = -2
