    Convergence Test

    Find examples to show that if the series E u_kand E v_k both diverge, then the series E(u_k+v_k)and E(u_k+v_k) may either converge or diverge

    The "E" is the summation symbol in front of the series i just didn't know how to enter it in with LaTex
    it's also used with sequences too normally there is k=1 on the bottom and infinity above it

    For the divergence case :

    \sum_{n \geq 1} \left[ 2^n + 3^n \right]

    For the convergence case :

    \sum_{n \geq 1} \left[ n + (-n) \right]
