Consider the solid obtained by rotating the region bounded by the given curves about the y-axis.

y = x^2/4 (that's x squared divided by four), x = 1, y = 0

Find the volume V of this solid.

Why are you working on problems that you don't know the theory behind?

Shell Method: $V=2\pi\int_{a}^{b}p(x)h(x)dx$

Where p(x) is the distance from the y axis and h(x) is the curve.
