    Finding dy

    Let y = ln(5x-2)
    a) Find dy
    b) Estimate dy for x = 2 and dx = .003.

    Confused as to what to do, could anyone help?

    \frac{dy}{dx} =  \frac{d}{dx} log(5x-2) = \frac{1}{5x-2}

    Therefore,

    dy = \frac{dx}{5x-2}

    now calculate!
