Quick series question..
If you have: (1/4)(1/1+(x-1)) would this be true: a=1 and r=-4(x-1) ?

not quite ...

$\frac{1}{4} \cdot \frac{1}{1 - (1-x)} = \frac{1}{4} \left[1 + (1-x) + (1-x)^2 + ... \right]$

... with the restriction $|1-x| < 1$

Thanks! And if you used x-1 instead, it would look the same except with alternating signs, right?
