    Simpsons rule integration

    Hello,
For the Simpsons rule, what would the curves look like that connect the x and y points? What would the equation be for the succession of curves? In the trapezoid rule, the points are connected by a line, but what equation connects the points in the Simpsons rule? I need to plot it.
    Thanks
