which is your problem?

$\displaystyle \frac{4}{x}+5 > \frac{1}{2x}+3 $

or

$\displaystyle \frac{4}{x}+5 > \frac{1}{2}x+3 $ - Mar 8th 2010, 06:15 PMMhockey02

$\displaystyle \frac{4}{x+5} > \frac{1}{2x+3}$

Well first off you cross multiply giving...

$\displaystyle 4(2x+3) >x+5$

Then expanding the LHS you get...

$\displaystyle 8x+12 >x+5$

Can you finish it from here?
