    \frac{\sec^2{x}}{2} = \frac{1}{2\cos^2{x}}.

    So \lim_{x \to 0}\frac{\sec^2{x}}{2} = \lim_{x \to 0}\frac{1}{2\cos^2{x}}

     = \frac{1}{2(\cos{0})^2}

     = \frac{1}{2(1)^2}

     = \frac{1}{2}.
