So $\displaystyle \lim_{x \to 0}\frac{\sec^2{x}}{2} = \lim_{x \to 0}\frac{1}{2\cos^2{x}}$ $\displaystyle = \frac{1}{2(\cos{0})^2}$ $\displaystyle = \frac{1}{2(1)^2}$ $\displaystyle = \frac{1}{2}$.
