    Maximizing 3 Variables

    f(x,y,z)=x+2y

    Constraints

    y^2+z^2=1
    x+y+z=3

    f(x,y,z) = x+2y = y + (3-z) = 3 + (y-z)

    So, on the circle y^2+z^2=1, where is y-z greatest? smallest?
