I would write it as

$\displaystyle

\frac{1}{3} \left(2t + 1\right) ^{\frac{3}{2} }

$

then I think the derivative is...

$\displaystyle

\frac{1}{3} * \frac{3}{2}\left(2t + 1\right) ^{\frac{1}{2} } *2

$

So you take the derivative from the outer function ()^3/2 and then the derivative from the inner function 2t+1
