    Evaluate the Indefinite integral

    This is a new concept to me and after an hour or so of reading the book I am still having trouble. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Evaluate the indefinite integral.

    Use the substitution,

    t=x^5+1
    Thus,
    t'=5x^4

    And hence,

    INT 1/t^2 dt

    The rest is trivial.
