Thread: Rolle's Theorem

Pretty sure i got it, just wanted someone to check my work.

Find the number c that satisfies the conclusion of Rolle's Theorem. f(x) = x3 - x2 - 12x + 8
[0, 4]

I find the derivative, and set to 0
3x^2-2c-12=0

use the quadratic formula and i get 2.3609 and another number that cant be it since its not in [0,4].

How'd I do?
