    Slope of tangent

    Consider the graph of x^3. Indicate on your graph the corresponding point to x=2 (2,8).

    Let c=3. Fill in the blank in the next sentence. The slope of the tangent to the scaled function, y=cf(x) at the point corresponding to x=2 is ________

    f(x)=x^3
    f'(x)=3x^2
    f'(2)=3*4=12
    Define y=cf(x)
    y'=cf'(x)
    y'(2)=cf'(2)=3*12=36
