
Quick Question
How is that I use the quotient rule for this particular problem, and get the correct answer. Then check it by splitting it up into 2 terms because there is only one unit in the denominator, yet my 2nd answer is wrong. I am know that I am right using the quotient rule in the 1st half, however this is the first problem I have run into checking my work for the lower half. This must be one of those cases. If you could look over it for me I would greatly appreciate it. Again, the top is right, yet the bottom is given me a slightly smaller answer.

Simplify the answer you got for the quotient rule (combine like terms, factor, then reduce). You will get the same answer.
