Help Setting up Matrices
I'm not really sure how to set these up to solve.
thank you for any help
A factory can produce three products, Widgets, Votsits, and Hummets, using parts A and B. To
produce 1 Widget, it needs 2 units of A and 6 units of B. To produce 1 Votsit it needs 3 units of
A and 1 unit of B. To produce 1 Hummet, 1 unit of A and 2 units of B are required.
a) Construct a parts requirements matrix using parts as column headings.
b) An order is received for 6 Widgets, 2 Votsits, and 7 Hummets. Use matrix multiplication
to compute the total number of parts required.
c) Given that the cost of 1 unit of A is $2 and the cost of 1 unit of B is $3, find the total cost
of the order by matrix multiplication.
