how do you sketch the curve r(t) = (2t -1 , t, t+3)?
thanks!
Hello, alexandrabel90!
First, get some 3-dimensional graph paper . . .How do you sketch the curve: .$\displaystyle r(t) \:=\: (2t -1 , t, t+3)$
Since the functions are linear, the graph is a straight line.
Plot any two points: .$\displaystyle \begin{array}{ccc}
r(1) &=& (1, 1, 4) \\
r(2) &=& (3,2,5)\end{array}$ . . and draw the line.
