    Function Notation

    Hi all,

Can anybody give me a link to standardised function notation?

I am getting confused. Some examples

    f(x;y,t) means?

    and

    f(x,y|u,v)

    also

    what does

    u(x,y,t)=(t,y) mean?

    Thank you

None of those are "standard" notation. They look like notations for specific applications. For example, f(x;y,t) might mean they are thinking of f as a function of x for fixed values of y and t.
