Limits and functions question.

Hi, sorry if I'm in the wrong place or if I word anything improperly, I take math courses in french so going to english is a huge change. I'm in a grade 12 AP Calculus course and this is one of our questions

          px^2-7; x > or equal to 4

Find the values of k and p and the limits of g( x) that exist at x=1 and x=4

And I really don't know where to start. Any help?

After a bunch of debating with myself, I think that the answers are p=43/8 and k=3. Can anybody confirm?
