    Area of a torus

    Any help you could give would be wonderful! Thanks!


    The circle is revolved about the line thus generating a torus (doughnut). Find its surface area.

    The formula for the surface area of a torus is A=4π^2ab, where b is the radius of the tube and a is the distance from the center of the tube to the center of the torus.
