# Thread: Integration of Vector Functions

1. ## Integration of Vector Functions

Okay, when you find the derivative of a vector function at a specific point, you find the tangent vector. Geometrically what do you find when you integrate a vector function, and for that matter what do you find when you integrate a parametric function?

It depends what integration you are talking about, the regular integration of line integration. I presume you are talking about regular integration.

I do not see of any geometrical way of thinking of it. I just think that sometimes you need to find the anti-derivative vector in applications and hence are required to integrate, that is all.

3. Yeah, that is what i thought; the basic need to integration I believe is to find the velocity and position functions.
