    find the equation of the normal on the ellipse

    find the equation of the normals from the points (-8,3) and (6,4) on the ellipse x^2 + 4y^2 = 100.

    The normal line has a slope perpendicular to the tangent line. To find the slope of the tangent line we use derivatives. You will need to use implicit differentiation to solve for dy/dx of the ellipse.
