New to this site and here to find an answer (equation) for my problem.

Milk is expressed in litres and or solids. A litre, as everyone knows is a known volume parameter, a solid consists of both fat and protein. The fat and protein percentages are known and I calculate the price for a kilo fat and protein.

The payoutprice for one milksolid of milk is $5.70, the milk has 5.16% fat and 3.78% protein, the fatrotein value ratio is 46%, the volume charge for 1 litre of milk is $0.045

To work out the price per kilo fat, I use the following equation:
(1 + (Protein%/Fat%)) * Payout / (Protein%/Fat% / (Fat$/Protein$)+1) =
(1 + 73.3%) * $5.70 / (73.3% / 46% + 1) = $3.74

To work out the volume charge per kilo fat, I use the following equation:
(volume charge per litre / milksolid%) * (price per kilo fat / payoutprice) =
($0.045 / 8.94%) * ($3.74 / $5.70) = $0.34

To work out the price per kilo protein, I use the following equation:
(1 + (Protein%/Fat%)) * Payout / (Protein%/Fat% + (Fat$/Protein$) =
(1 + 73.3%) * $5.70 / (73.3% + 46%) = $8.14

To work out the volue charge per kilo protein, I use the following equation:
(volume charge per litre / milksolid%) * (price per kilo protein / payoutprice) =
($0.045 / 8.94%) * ($8.14/ $5.70) = $0.73

Now I get some information from ANOTHER milk factory and they work with another variable, lactose. Although lactose is a component in milk it is NOT part of the milksolid.

What I ask is: can anyone show me the calculation for a kilo of fat, protein and lactose, similar as is used above.

For this factory the payout price is: $5.85 per milksolid, the fat%:4.67%, the protein%:3.74%, the lactose%:5.01%, the value ratio for fat vs protein vs lactose is: 1 vs 2.6299 vs 0.4128, the volume charge per litre is: $0.0338

CAN ANYONE SOLVE THIS???
