ok so i tried this and i thought that the answer should be 50 but it is not and i dont know what i am doing wrong cause it makes sense to me. ok here is the problem
A ball drops from a height of 25 feet. Each time it hits the ground, it bounces up 50 percents of the height it fall. Assume it goes on forever, find the total distance it travels.
add up all terms
Your intuition answers the obvious question by summing up:
25 + 12.5 + 6.25 + ....
where each term is half the previous.
The question may also be asking for the distance the ball travels up -
25 down + 12.5 up + 12.5 down + 6.25 up + 6.25 down + ....
ya i did that for about 30 bounce intervals and it should be 50 but it is not so i dont know what to do
