For the anti derivative, I got: 3log[2(1 + x)] + 5log[-2(2 + x)] I plugged in the numbers to find the definite integral, but my homework keeps telling me I'm wrong. Help? Btw, I got 24. Thank you!

The 2 in ln(2(1+x)) and the -2 in ln(-2(x+2)) are suspect.
How?
check in details the way you got the anti derivative here is my answer Spoiler: $\displaystyle %TCIMACRO{\dint }% %BeginExpansion {\displaystyle\int} %EndExpansion \frac{8x+11}{(x+2)(x+1)}dx=% %TCIMACRO{\dint }% %BeginExpansion {\displaystyle\int} %EndExpansion \frac{5}{(x+2)}dx+% %TCIMACRO{\dint }% %BeginExpansion {\displaystyle\int} %EndExpansion \frac{3}{(x+1)}dx=5\ln(x+2)+3\ln(x+1)+C$
