    Finding the Value

    If f(x)= 2kx^(3)-(k^(2)-7)x+9k, where k is a constant

How would I find the value of k if f(x) has a critical point at x=1?

If there is a critical point at x = 1 then

    f'(1) = 0.

    Solve for k.
