    Parameterization of a Line (HELP!!!)

    A line is parameterized by x=5+5t and y=2+6t.

    (a) Which of the following points are on the section of the line obtained by restricting t to nonnegative numbers
    (−10,−16):
    (20,20):
    (35,38):
    Then, give one more point that is on the section of the line obtained by this restriction:

    (b) What are the endpoints of the line segment obtained by restricting t to −5<=t<=−4?
    left endpoint :
    right endpoint :

    (c) How should t be restricted to give the part of the line below the x-axis?
    t must be in the interval:

    t must be in the interval:
    (a) Start by making t the subject for each of x=5+5t and y=2+6t and then equate the two expressions. That will give you the Cartesian equation.

    (b) Substitute the value of t into x=5+5t and y=2+6t to get the coordinates on the line corresponding to that value.

    (c) You require y < 0 => 2+6t < 0.
