Implicit Differentiation Problems AP Calc Help!

    1) Given f(x)= .01x + .7x -2 . Approximate f^-1(3).

What would I do to get this answer?

    2) Given f(x) = (x)/(x+1) and g(x)=f^-1(x). Evaluate g'(2).

Im confused on both these problems. Hopefully someone knows!!

    1) What formula or algorithm did they give you for doing approximations? Plug into that.

    2) What formula or identity did they give you for the relationship between functions, their inverses, and the derivatives of each? Plug into that.

Well for 1), would I set the f(x) equation equal to 3, then solve for x? If i were to do that, how would i solve for x with a cube?

    2) I would also set f(x) equal to 2, then solve the derivative of that equation? Im confused.

So let's start at the beginning. What rules did they give you? Please list them. Thank you!
