Math Help - Find an equation of the tangent to the curve...

    Find an equation of the tangent to the curve...

    Question: "Find an equation of the tangent to the curve y = e^x that passes through the origin."

    Answer: y = e*x

    I confirmed that it was true with my graphing software but I can't seem to get the answer. My work is attached even though it is kind of useless since I don't know what to look for.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    y=e^x find the equation of the tangent line at (0,0)

    ok

    y' = e^x \Rightarrow y'\mid_{0} = 1

    \frac{y-y_o}{x-x_o} = slope

    1 = \frac{y-0}{x-0}

    y=x

    is the tangent line

    I think there is a mistake in the answer you have
