Question: "Find an equation of the tangent to the curve y = e^x that passes through the origin."

I confirmed that it was true with my graphing software but I can't seem to get the answer. My work is attached even though it is kind of useless since I don't know what to look for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

$\displaystyle y=e^x$ find the equation of the tangent line at (0,0)

ok

$\displaystyle y' = e^x \Rightarrow y'\mid_{0} = 1$

$\displaystyle \frac{y-y_o}{x-x_o} = slope$

$\displaystyle 1 = \frac{y-0}{x-0}$

$\displaystyle y=x$

is the tangent line

I think there is a mistake in the answer you have
