    Struggling to Factor this!

    struggling to diferentiate this:

    x^5*(x+5)^4

    i use the product rule but that results in something that appears completely bizarre! Any help will be appreciated!

    To differentiate use the product rule and the chain rule
    Also let y = x^5(x+5)^4

    Spoiler:
    u = x^5 \: \rightarrow \: u' = 5x^4

    v = (x+5)^4 \: \rightarrow \: 4(x+5)^3 \times 1
    (from the chain rule: \frac{d}{dx}(x+5) = 1)

    y' = 5x^4(x+5)^4 + 4x^5(x+5)^3 = [(5x)(x+5)]^4 + 4x^5(x+5)^3
