    finding the equation of a secant line between two points

    For y= x^2 -2x+5
    find the quation of the secant line between the points (1,4) and (-3,20)

    For any line you need a point and a slope. The slope of the secant line is just change in y divided by change in x of the two points. Then use of the two points plus the slope to get the final equation.
