Find the area of a region bounded by the graph f(x)=27-x^3 and vertical lines x=3 and x=1. Thank you.

I take it it's also bounded by the horizontal axis as well...

    You need to evaluate \int_1^3{27 - x^3\,dx}.

    \int_1^3{27 - x^3\,dx} = \left[27x - \frac{1}{4}x^4\right]_1^3
     = \left[27(3) - \frac{1}{4}(3)^4\right] - \left[27(1) - \frac{1}{4}(1)^4\right].

    Can you go from there?
