Thread: [SOLVED] Show the moment generating function

I cannot figure this out for the life of me.. I have to show that: If Y is a random variable with a moment generating function of m(t) and if W is given by W = aY + b, show that the moment generating function of W is e^tbm(at)

so far, with some help, I have defined it but not sure where to go from here.

M_W(t) = E(e^{(aY + b)t}
