    Finding Volume equation

    A sheet metal is bent into a right trapezoid with the left side always making a right angle with the bottom and the right side bent such that it makes an angle with a line perpendicular to the bottom. You need to determine where the bends are made such that the bottom and the right side are equal and the left side is exactly the height needed to make the top parallel to the bottom.

    (link to figure, use figure b)

    Determine the positions of the bends in the sheet metal as a function of . Based on Figure B, find the values of and as varies. (used t instead of )

    The width is 45 (given in a previous question). I was able to figure our that 2x+h=w and from there I was able to find x to be x= ; and
    h= .

    From there I'm just lost on how to possibly get the volume V(t) of the figure. I think the equation of the problem may be V=Area*length, but I'm just not sure how to put it all together. Please help and thanks in advance!
