A company that publishes a certain calculus book has a constant marginal cost of $22.50 per book and a constant marginal profit of$14 per book.If it costs the company $12000 to publish 500 copies of the book, determine the profit from selling those 500 copies. 2. $\displaystyle \$22.50\times500=\$11,250$ so the fixed cost is $\displaystyle \$12,000-\$11,250=\$750$. So their profit is$\displaystyle \$14\times500-750=\$6,250\$

This doesn't seem like calculus, unless I'm oversimplifying...
