    Question Derivative graphs?

    How do I match graphs of a given function with its derivative?

    For starters, the graph of dy/dx versus x will have x-intercepts wherever the graph of y versus x has stationary points.

    Also, the graph of dy/dx versus x will be greater than zero wherever the graph of y versus x is increasing. And the graph of dy/dx versus x will be less than zero wherever the graph of y versus x is decreasing.
