    velocity problem

    questions: if a rock is thrown upward on the planet mars within velocity of 10m/s, its height in meter t second later is given by y=10t-1.86t^2.
    1.) find the average velocity over the time interval
    a) [1,2]
    b) [1,1.5]
    c) [1,1.1]
    d) [1,1.01]
    e) [1, 1.001]

    2.) find the instantaneous velocity when t=1

    I can answer question two.

    2.) find the instantaneous velocity when t=1

    The derivative is 10-3.72t
    t=1 gives 6.28 m/s
