ok, so we have, say: 0 = a + b + c and 0 = e + d + f And they're parallel because I said so. How would I go about finding the distance between them?

It seems that you have written total nonsense. Please check the exact statement of the problem. As it is, it means nothing.
oops: the variables stay the same! I notice that now. Okay, how about: ax + by + cz = 5 ex + dy + cz = 25 And they are parallel (ASSUMPTION). What formula, what method, would I use to find the distance between these planes?
