Thread: [SOLVED] Distance between Parallel Planes

1. [SOLVED] Distance between Parallel Planes

ok, so we have, say:

0 = a + b + c
and
0 = e + d + f

And they're parallel because I said so.

How would I go about finding the distance between them?

It seems that you have written total nonsense.
Please check the exact statement of the problem.
As it is, it means nothing.

3. oops: the variables stay the same!

I notice that now.

ax + by + cz = 5

ex + dy + cz = 25

And they are parallel (ASSUMPTION). What formula, what method, would I use to find the distance between these planes?

4. nevermind nevermind:

amazing I didn't get this in class >.>

Thank you
