# Plane parallel to line

Plane parallel to line
Determine the value of c such that the plane with equation 2x+3y-cz-8=0 is parallel to the line with equation x=1+2t, y=2+3t, z=-1+t.

i got c=-13 but when i graphed it, it did not look parallel. is c=-13 right? i dont have the correct answers in the back of the book so please let me know.

That is correct.

ok, can i just ask another quick question.. i used the graphing calculator on http://oame.on.ca/main/files/gr12-20.../3D/3Dplot.htm << that website and the plane and line don't look parallel.. i didn't enter in the eqtns wrong because i triple checked. (you can check if you want) do you know any other graphing calculator program that i can use to check for graphing in 3d? thanks in advance plato
