    convergence or divergence

    Hi all,

    I need help determining if
    <br />
\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}\frac{4n}{7n +1}<br />

    is divergent or convergent. I was thinking of using the direct comparison test, though i am not sure what to compare it with.

    Thanks in advance,
    ArTiCk

    The sequence {4n/(7n+1)} converge to 4/7

    therefore the series diverges

    Recall a Sequence {an} must converge to 0 for

    the series sum{an} to even have a chance of convergring
