    differentiate

    y=x^3/1-x^2

    I used the quotient rule for this but came out with something different from the back of the book. The solution is x^2(3-x^2)/(1-x^2)^2

    answer

    (bottom*derivative of top)-(top*derivative of bottom)/(bottom^2)

    3x^2(1-x^2)-x^3(2x)/(1-x^2)^2=(3x^2-x^4)/(1-x^2)^2.
