Any equation of a plane written in the form ax+by+cz=d has as a normal vector n=(a,b,c).
find an equation for the plane through the point (3,2,3) parallel to the plane with the equation 7x+3y+z=8
so for finding planes, we need a point and a normal. the point is (3,2,3) but what is the normal? i can do it from there i think. i know how to find the normal when they give a perpendicular line but parallel threw me off..
