I presume you have learned the power rule?
$\displaystyle f(x) = ax^n$ means that $\displaystyle f'(x) = nax^{n-1}$.
If not then let me know and I'll walk you through this the long way.
$\displaystyle f(x) = 8x^3 + 3x^2 + 5$
$\displaystyle f'(x) = 8(3x^2) + 3(2x^1)$
$\displaystyle f'(x) = 24x^2 + 6x$
