What are you having trouble with?. A polynomial is one of the easiest functions to differentiate.

I presume you have learned the power rule?
    f(x) = ax^n means that f'(x) = nax^{n-1}.

If not then let me know and I'll walk you through this the long way.

    f(x) = 8x^3 + 3x^2 + 5

    f'(x) = 8(3x^2) + 3(2x^1)

    f'(x) = 24x^2 + 6x
