    Solve for x with exponents

    Hey, guys.

I can't seem to remember how to solve for x in situations like this:

    xa^x=b

    (where a,b are real constants).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Algebraically you cannot solve, you must use an iterative method:

    ln(x) + x\,ln(a) = ln(b)
