# Math Help - [SOLVED] Help on Finding Annual Percent Growth?

1. ## [SOLVED] Help on Finding Annual Percent Growth?

I need help finding the annual percent growth. Here are the questions:

(a)What is the continuous percent growth rate for the function P=10e^0.14t?
(b)Write this function in the form P=P(base 0)a^t to answer the next question. what is the annual (not continuous) percent growth rate for this function?

My answers (in bold/underline) so far:
(a)The continuous growth rate is 14%
(b)The annual percent growth rate is ???%. (Round the answer to 1 decimal place.)

Any help is appreciated! This problem has been frustrating for me.

2. ## Never mind, I Found it

Found it. I believe it was 15%. However I also have another question, and (if it's okay with the Mods) I'll go ahead and post it here:

One of the main contaminants of a nuclear accident, such as that at Chernobyl, is strontium-90, which decays exponentially at a rate of approximately 2.5% per year.

(a) Write the percent of strontium-90 remaining, P, as a function of years, t, since the nuclear accident. [Hint: 100% of the contaminant remains at t=0].
