Thread: Anyone know anything about TI calculators...?

I'm specifically working with the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition. I know there's a forum for calculators, but I need an answer quick, and this seemed like the best place to do it. Anyway, I'm not very savvy with these fancy graphing computers, so you'll kind of have to help me out, here.

Alright, this is what I want to be able to do... Let's say I type in "6x" and hit Enter. Normally, it'll give you the value of 6 times whatever value you have stored as x; what I want to be able to do is set it so that when I enter in "6x", the answer would actually come back as "6x". Is that possible to do? And if so, how? Thanks for any help.

I'm not 100% sure but if I don't think the TI-84 has this capability. The TI-89 does this and much more, but I don't think yours does. It might have a program that will solve simple algebra equations for one variable, but I doubt more than this.
