Checking if Trinomial is factorable on TI-84

Hello, I am helping my sister try and figure out some stuff on her tI-84. Her teacher has asked her to use her calculator to determone if a trinomial is factorable.

I have googled and so has she and we have been unable to find anything that helps our cause..

    Thanks ahead for the help.

    What sort of trinomial?

    A quadratic trinomial of the form ax^2 + bx + c can be factored (using real numbers) if the graph of y = ax^2 + bx + c has x-intercepts ......

If it is a simple quadratic, as I suspect it is:

it is a perfect square if B^2-4AC is zero
it can be factored over the REALS if B^2-4AC is positive
it can be factored over the RATIONALS if B^2-4AC is a perfect square
it can be factored over the INTEGERS if 2a divides both b and sqrt(b^2-4ac)
